About HGF

HelpGate Foundation

Founded in 2008, but commenced full operation in 2013, operating in an environment where socio-economic factors impact economic, social and political realities, HelpGate Foundation through its high quality programs has affected positively the lives of hundreds of youths, their parents and teachers as well. We believe we are immensely contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our dynamic social services and community-based initiative to bring about good health and well-being, and quality education to the youths in our society while partnering with other NGOs, individuals, corporate organizations and the government.

In the last 9 years, through our Soup Kitchen program, we have fed over 10,000 young adults and adults in the community where we are located. Through our vocational skills acquisition program, we have trained over 3,000 women, men and youths several skills which cuts across tailoring, soap making, cake baking, catering, and computer training. We have visited over 100 schools reaching over 10,000 students through our drug and substance abuse awareness program; we have mentored them and placed the less privileged among them on scholarships through senior secondary school and tertiary institutions. Some have volunteered for our programs while some are employed as staff of HelpGate Foundation.
